The Ryker Foundation
Named after our beloved mascot, the Ryker Foundation embodies the spirit of compassion that drives our community involvement. The foundation supports local animal causes through several ongoing initiatives. We provide food assistance to local animal rescues and support families with emergency veterinary care needs. Our work includes helping families keep their pets by assisting with pet deposits.
Community Engagement
Throughout the year, we look for ways to create positive connections with our community. From our popular Ryker stickers that bring smiles to children’s faces to seasonal activities like our Halloween treats program, we believe small gestures can make a big difference in building community spirit.
Supporting Our Military Community
We’re proud to partner with Project EverGreen to serve local military families and veterans through two essential programs. Through GreenCare for Troops, we provide free premium lawn maintenance services to post-9/11 disabled veterans throughout the growing season. When winter arrives, we continue our support through the SnowCare for Troops program, providing free snow removal services to these same families.
These programs represent our commitment to serving those who have served us. Military families and veterans in our service area can learn more about these programs and how to apply through Project EverGreen.

Kent, Oh Landscaping company, GreenWise Grounds Care LLC, joins National SnowCare for Troops Movement to support local military families and help ease the burden of disabled veterans this winter.

GreenWise Grounds Care LLC, a professional lawn care and landscape maintenance company in Kent, Ohio, located at 1675 E. Main St. Ste. 218, joins ranks with Project EverGreen’s SnowCare for Troops program. SnowCare for Troops is a program designed to provide snow and ice removal services to families of currently deployed military personnel as well as post 9/11 service-connected wounded/disabled veterans at no charge.

GreenWise Grounds Care LLC will participate with snowplow and landscape professionals from across the country that donate their services and time to ease the burden on military families or disabled and wounded veterans needing assistance this winter.
“We’re proud to support the SnowCare for Troops program and lend a hand to help our local military families and veterans who already carry so much on their shoulders, the last thing they should be worrying about is digging out after the next snowstorm,” said Justin Dean of GreenWise Grounds Care LLC. “This is just one small way that we can say thank you for their dedication to country and military service.”
SnowCare for Troops, sponsored by BOSS Snowplow, was launched in 2010 and currently serves more than 3,750 families across the country’s Snow Belt regions. Nearly 1,400 snow and ice contractors currently volunteer to provide these much needed services but there is always room for more as the need grows.
“With more than 160,000 active-duty U.S. military personnel deployed in 150 countries across the globe, and significant numbers of wounded and disabled veterans, the need to support the families of those holding down the home front is significant,” says Cindy Code, Executive Director of Project EverGreen.
